COVID-19 Travel Restrictions UK: Updated List Of Green, Amber, And Red Nations By The UK Government
United Kingdom's government has announced modifications to its travel restrictions, which will come into effect from 4 a.m. on Sunday, 8th of August 2021.
People entering England from France
will no longer be subject to quarantine if they have received two doses of the COVID-19
Vaccination as of August 8.
The green, amber, and red lists have
also been updated, as per the United Kingdom's government regulations.
What Are The New Ground Rules
For All Travellers?
The government categorizes nations
and territories as red, amber, or green, with each category having its own set
of criteria. A green watchlist is also available.
Before entering the territories of In the United Kingdom, all visitors aged 11 and above must obtain a negative
coronavirus test to ensure safety.
They must schedule and pay for a
COVID-19 exam, which must be completed on or before the second day after
arriving in the United Kingdom. However, this rule is not applicable
to children under the age of four.
In case the test is positive, the
passengers are bound to quarantine. Those who have accompanied the infected
person will be required to quarantine if NHS Test and Trace informs them that
they have traveled to the United Kingdom with someone who has tested positive.

Those who have traveled via an
amber or red list nation in the ten days leading up to their arrival in England
must adhere to the regulations of that country.
For persons traveling inside the UK,
Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man who has not traveled through
any other countries in the preceding 10 days, COVID-19 testing and quarantine
on arrival are not necessary.

Red Zone: Hotel
quarantine for ten days and a pre-departure test, with PCR tests on days two
and eight.
Amber Zone: Home
quarantine for 10 days and a pre-departure test, as well as PCR tests on days 2
and 8. On day 5, choose the "Test to Release" option. For fully
vaccinated persons traveling from the EU and the US, there are different
restrictions.
Green Zone: Pre-departure
test and PCR test on or before day 2 are on the green list.

quarantine period.

Unless they test positive for

according to the new policy.
What Are The Regulations For
Traveling From Nations On The Amber List?
Unless they have been completely
vaccinated in the UK, US, some other European countries, or through the UK
vaccination program overseas, travelers arriving in the United Kingdom who are
not fully vaccinated must quarantine at home or at the place they are staying
for ten days.
Those who receive both the jabs of
the vaccination must have received their second dosage at least 14 days
before their arrival in the United Kingdom.
Those that are under the age of 18
when they enter the United Kingdom and live in the United Kingdom or in a
countries with UK-approved vaccination programs are not required to self-isolate.
Quarantine is also waived off for
participants in a UK-approved vaccination study.
In addition to the COVID-19 test on
day two, travelers who are not exempted from self-isolation must complete a
COVID-19 test on their eighth day following their arrival.
Those who must quarantine maybe
able to reduce the length of their stay by paying for a private COVID-19 test
on the fifth day through the Test to Release program.
The quarantine can be terminated
early if the results of the second and fifth-day tests are negative.

What Are The Regulations For
Traveling From Nations On The Red List?
Anyone arriving in England from a
country on the red list must spend ten days in hotel quarantine and complete
COVID-19 tests on their second and eighth days in the UK.
The fee will rise for those aged 13
and above from August 12th, according to the government, "to guarantee
taxpayers are not supporting the costs of staying in these services."
